Today was a day for covering ground. We left Key West early this morning after a restful night and made our way northeast.
To answer Keith's question, we did cross several bridges on our way out to the Keys, but since it was after the sun had set we couldn't see anything. We could only see the lights of businesses right on the road. It was a completely different drive in the day and we enjoyed the gorgeous views as we drove. This is what Momma really wanted to see and I'm glad it was as lovely a drive as she hoped it would be.
On the Left side of the picture you can see the original bridge for the Keys.
Some small Keys on the Atlantic side of the bridge.
Once we got back to the mainland we stopped at an outlet mall for some shopping and we found a fishy playground.
Then we continued on to South Beach.
The drive to get to South Beach was a little confusing on the Floridian roads but Momma got us out there are parked in no time.
We didn't plan to swim but we did get our feet wet in the Atlantic Ocean.
We think a big party will be happening there this weekend since this big white tent was being set up as we walked.
We also found the Ritz-Carlton on our street.
And a creepy man with a snake walking along side us.
The Lincoln Road Mall is similar to 3rd Street Promenade so we got to enjoy an outdoor mall as we walked to the beach. Some of the fountains are quite old but still part of the new mall.
Lots of people with dogs here and outside most of the shops were bowls of water for dogs of all sizes.
Enjoying some frozen yogurt on South Beach.
We did find a Costco and met this man while getting gas. Momma was instantly creeped out.
The postcard picture of the day.
