This morning Momma and I had our voyage on the Maid of the Mist through the falls of Niagara. It was absolutely astonishing! Momma's grandparents came here in 1928 for their honeymoon and we were excited to see the oldest state park in the country, though we know it's changed drastically in the past 80 years.
American Falls is on the left with the rainbow and Horseshoe Falls is on the right in the back.
Don't we look awesome in our ponchos? Particularly Momma? They actually worked very well at keeping us dry.
Coming up on American Falls. The fall is so named because it is the only fall that is completely on the American side. Horseshoe Falls splits the countries.
Horseshoe Falls. The mist was so strong and we sat under the falls for so long that I couldn't take my camera out. It was so wet!
Behind us is Rainbow Bridge that leads into Canada on the left.
After we got off the boat we were able to climb some stairs that take you up near the falls. That was like it was raining! You can follow the stairs from midway up the right side to the top of the left side. Just look for the blue ponchos.
Great morning.
