Sunday morning Momma and I left Sioux Falls, SD very early (due to an absolutely terrible storm) and set out west for Rapid City where some pretty amazing American monuments. Momma went in 1975 with her mom and brothers. She was surprised at how different everything is.

After Mount Rushmore we drove 16 miles down a mountain road to get to the Crazy Horse monument. This monument has already been going on for over 50 years and
you can see just how much is left to finish. The white model on the left is what it will look like when done and the mountain in the back is what it looks like now.
There were pieces from the mountain from one of the many blasts that tourists, such as myself, can take.
