Note on the British's feelings with regards to a small event from 1776:
they're still bitter that we got away.
Today was the second lecture on British politics and a lot changed here in the government when the Revolution happened and I can think of no better way of describing their feelings towards it than the stereotypical British humor: rude mutterings and grumblings under their breath. It is so entertaining to listen to.
